Gumball Pickin' Grandma

My grandparents came to visit us this past week, and on Fri. (April 24) we went to a park that's two minutes away from our house. The park has a nice walking/jogging trail, so we decided to go on a walk. When we got back, we all sat down at a picnic table. Then everybody realized that my grandma was picking up gumballs! Then my dad gave her a Kroger grocery bag which was Abby's extra doodoo bag. I thought it was funny that Grandma was so deeply interested in such common things (around here, anyway) as gumballs. Then she finally explained that they didn't have them in North Dakota, and might decorate something whith it! Unfortunately, She left her bag here when she went home.

Volcano Mania

Last night Mason and Griffin invited us to go to their house to make volcanoes for our geography class- it was more like art- and they also invited Breanna. Then Mrs. Michelle (Breanna's mom) said we could go to her house instead of the apartment, which was much bigger. So we all started working on it and started on the structure and stuffed it with newspaper. Then we cut up paper towels into squares and then dipped them into Plaster of Paris. After dipping, we laid it on our structures and did it over and over in different spots. Unfortunatly, we didn't have enough plaster, so Griffin and Breanna were the only ones to finish.

Pink?

Tonight we went to Celleste and Makayla's new house! It is really cool and much bigger than their old house. It was terrible though, because we didn't bring a camera, so unfortunately, I have no pictures. The paint was just a bit crazy though, for one thing the kitchen was PINK!!! I can not even imagine someone so delirious that of all colors for a kitchen, they would choose pink. Also, in Celleste's new room, the owner did not have any good taste, and painted the walls AND the molding bright pink (sound familiar?)... this leads me to ponder who in the world would ever make someone believe that looked good. I am sure it will look much, much better once it is repainted.

Abby Avro

Abigail Avro is our adorable pooch!!! She loves goin on "R-U-Ns" and loves to eat raw eggs.
She is the sweetest dog on planet earth!!! She has only bit someone once (Her treat was right next to Katie's toe and accidently bit her toe when she was a puppy). But she is the best dog you could ever have!!!

"Holes" Review

Holes is an excellent book by Louis Sachar (he also wrote the Wayside School book series, which is also very good). It is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats who goes to "Camp Green Lake", supposedly a camp for kid criminals to build character by digging one hole everyday exactly five ft. wide and five ft. deep. But it doesn't take long for Stanley to realize that the boys are digging holes because the warden is looking for something. It was a great novel with a twist of humor and mystery . I recomend this book 100%.
